Hi, Iām Karen Nahra
With over 20 years of experience as a clinical social worker, I specialize in helping people navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life stressors. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, primarily Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which allows me to work collaboratively with clients toward their goals.
I believe that people are inherently capable and possess the strength to overcome obstacles and grow. My approach is open, non-judgmental, and supportive, creating a safe space where clients feel heard and empowered. I see myself as a guide, helping you tap into your own strengths to achieve the vision you have for your life. With a strength-based, inclusive approach, I ensure that each person's unique experiences and values are respected and integrated into the therapeutic process.
I hold a Bachelor's in Social Work from Cleveland State University, a Master's in Social Work from New York University, and a Master's in Business Administration from Kent State University. In 2024, I completed advanced leadership training to further enhance my ability to support individuals and teams in achieving lasting, positive change. I am currently working on certification as a coach and process mentor in Motivational Interviewing-Informed Wraparound (MiiWrap), an evidenced based practice.
